I'm blue and I don't know why
Let me go over the past few days. On Friday afternoon, I eagerly checked out a car I thought was going to be a winner, only to find that it would cost 4 times the asking price to get it back on the road. I then went to an appointment for work, only to have them ask me to reschedule. Not much on TV that night, so no glowing movie report today,
Up early on Saturday for the Kardina working bee. I was early for the bus, so I walking to the train station. Dee was at the other end to pick me up and we made it to the school in time for the start. There were 100's of parents there, which was very impressive, and apart from a sore shoulder from swinging a pick axe, I was satisfied with our efforts in the garden of the amphitheatre as it was created. In the afternoon, I spent my time helping Dee and girls clean up their house for an open day. I also set up their ADSL connections so the girls could chat to their respective friends simultaneously. After a run down to the local mall, I dropped off the family, put the mower in the boot and headed back home. Nat and his mates were there, and they were trying to set up the XBOX to go Live. They couldn't get it to work, so I read a little about it, checked some settings in the XP Pro router PC and asked them to try it again. Great! it all worked after that. A busy Saturday don't you think? then why am I unhappy?
Another early rise in Sunday. I cleaned out the rabbit hutches, picked up after Zoe, and as soon as I thought the nieghbours could bare it, I mowed the lawn. I pulled a few weeds out, but not as many as I'd hoped. Mid morning and I headed off to town to catch up with my friend Deb, who is planning a trip to New Zealand, before spending a year in Canada. She needed to know the best places to go see, and she really likes LoTR so in was fun to point out how to get to the more remote parts of NZ. I think she will take a camper van to tour about. We wandered around the city and checked out the State library 'just in case' there was more info there. We didn't find it, the info that is. In the afternoon and back home, I googled about on the 'net for a bit, learning about the life and times of Robt Heinlein. Nat had shopped and cleaned up the kitchen and pantry, which impressed the heck out of me, but he surprises my like that sometimes. He was out with mates so I located the remote controls and watched "My best Friend's Wedding" I went to bed early and started to read "tunnel in the sky" by Robt Heinlein. Musta been tired cos I didn't hear Nat come in, but he woke me up when Kirby rang to remind me to bring the Video camera back to Geelong so that she can film an entry clip for a competition.
What am I missing?
