Coming to grips

I finished reading Michael J Fox's autobiography last night. It was all I could manage after the "True vision" setting session we ran last night. I have published my dream tonight and over the next few days, I will put up my other thoughts and dreams that can all combine to create the "True vision" In the light of day, it can look like a bit of a wank (a la Mark Latham's quasi blog at http://markl.tblog.com/ , but for now, it is what I'll use to keep me going along the road, one step at a time et al. If I'm brave enough, I will also publish my vision, and a set of step goals to take me there.

I enjoyed work today, and although my energy levels were a bit off, I managed to talk to several people who were very nice back to me. For that, I award them "The Pen of Niceness" which I will deliver to them as soon as my business cards are ready..

Pizza for tea, and I rang mum, who had just returned from nana's funeral (her mum). Nana had made it to 96, which was a pretty good effort don't you think? Mum was Ok, but a bit tired. The funeral was well attended and cousins I don't know were Little Nana's pallbearers.

My old job came back to haunt me tonight as well, when I had to help the IT guy there battle to bring the old Notes server back from the brink. We did it!! yea team.

The Month in Review...just where do these days go?

Since May, my life has been 'on the go'. After the last FP visit, we had another person visit us, with the the same story, but she was much nicer about our woeful financial position, so Dee and I heard her out. We liked her so much that we invited her back next month for another chat. In the meantime, we have put our block of land up for sale...there goes Dee's dream of a new house for the short term. Our plan is to clear our debts with the profit from the land sale, and then start again with a deposit from what is left over. Macro Economics - part 1

For many many years, I have had a little statement rolling around in my head. I can't recall where I heard it, but I know it was not an original idea of my own. It goes something like this... A man's weekly wage can buy a bicycle or a good suit of clothes A man's monthly wage can buy a reasonable car A man's yearly wage can buy a luxury car A man's Half yearly wage will allow him to take a family of four on an overseas holiday Three years of a Man's wage could buy a small house/home ...and all this was from 100 years ago.
