Santa made it!

Merry christmas Y'all

Santa made it to our house again this year, and I gotta say that it was a pretty good year for all the good people in our house, with most gifts being well received. No coal anywhere!

I was given socks, tops and a great fitting steamer (XXL) so I can now plan to be in the waves a lot longer then I have to date. A couple of DVD's to keep me occupied during the other times and my day is complete. some Joop to keep me smelling nice, and to cap it off, a new suitcase for my Sydney trips.. Thanks eveyone!!

Dee wisely shopped mostly for herself, so she got what she wanted, which is great for me too, because now I know want to get her for her birthday in 5 days time...some more Royal Dulton stuff. She also got a pancake maker, so I wont have any excuses about making pancakes for a while.

Casey got driving lessons as her major present, but it was the Pirates II DVD that made her squeal. She also got a tonne of clothes and a make-up kit that I call a tool box, because it has ever colour lippy she will need.

Kirby got a surf board, (I had a deal that she would give up Christmas, Easter, her next birthday and next Christmas for a surf board, shame she never shook on it!!) and a rashee, and a steamer, plus clothes and DVDs and a soccer kit, but the surf board, a 6'6" x 19" tri-fin hard board should be a good start...and keep her off my big soft board Nat got me last year.

Gizmo got some smackos, and ball that looks like Santa and a bandana....and lots of wrapping paper to rip up.

The cats got breakfast, and the rabbits will get fresh, garden pulled cabbage when I get outside.

The weather has turned cold on us, with a brisk southern breeze blowing in off the Tasman, so there isn't many people out and about today. It is expected to warm up again by the New Year.

I've defrosted the turkey, and we have a pork roll as well, so I'll start cooking soon. We are half way through the Christmas ham already and I don't expect it to last 'till the end of Dec.

It will be a quite day for the girls hanging around, Dee has her needles out picking off sequins from a top, and Nat and Jo may pop in tonight....all in all the sort of peacefull Christmas I enjoy.

Cheers

PS as a thought, do you think it is wise for parents to give gifts that may place their children at risk? There are sharks reported at Bells, and driving at anytime is a risk. Oh well, wish us luck.
